New Hope United Methodist Church has been participating in the Upward Soccer Ministry since 2008 with outstanding results. The program has grown from 60 children the first year to over 100 served this year. Upward Soccer will give your child an opportunity to grow as an soccer player, a person and a Christian. Coaches will teach soccer skills during the weekly practices as well as brief scripture lessons during the practices. In Upward Soccer every child will be encouraged to learn good sportsmanship, respect for others, and how the things they learn can be applied in every day life.

Some of the ways Upward Soccer provides the perfect youth sports experience are equal playing time for all players, emphasis on positive reinforcement on the efforts each child makes (not just on success), plus participation in a very fast-paced game that ensures all children will be involved in the action. The games are played with four players from each team on the field and no goalie. For their efforts each game and during practice, players will earn stars to recognize them for how hard they try.

Registration for our Upward Soccer Season usually starts in January each year. The dates will be posted on this website as soon as they are available.
