Epiphany series

Here is the lead off sermon for the Epiphany series.   The title of the series is “Living Under the Light: How Jesus Inspired the New Testament.”  Each week what we hope to do is examine a contributing author of the NT and by focusing on the prominent theme running through the work, uncover how that theme sheds light on the author’s own spiritual experience as the NT describes it.  Hopefully over the course of the series, a fresh appreciation for the New Testament witness will emerge.  The series moves in historical order beginning with Paul the author scholars say emerged first in the NT.  This meditation is entitled, “Exceeding Great Reward.”   Next week we’ll move into Mark and that meditation is entitled, “Embarking on a Journey.”
